Commands & Systems

The Living World Handbook

Everything you can say, type, and edit. Recruit a party by shouting for one, drive it from party chat, keep a personal buffer at your side, reshape the world in the visual editor, and tune the server live with admin commands - all without another human online.

01 Recruiting a Party

Shout an LFM/LFP in chat and a level-matched party assembles itself: for every role you call for, a combat phantom spawns just out of sight, jogs over, asks for an invite, and joins you. One shout can fill the whole party (up to 8 members).

Basic shout

Start the shout with any of lfm lfp lf need, then list roles (with optional counts). Plurals and comma lists parse fine.

- You shout -
You!lfm 1 tank, 2 melee, 2 healers, 1 prophet, 2 mages
Mirenhealer here, omw 🙏
Kaelotank coming - invite me and I'll hold the front

Roles you can call for

KeywordSpawns
tankKnight-class tank - actively holds threat (taunts, yanks mobs off squishies), carries a shield.
warrior meleeMelee damage dealer with a best-in-grade sword.
archerBow damage from range, with soulshots and arrows.
daggerDagger damage dealer.
nuker mageCaster DPS - holds at cast range and nukes, breaks off to recharge when out of MP.
healerElder-kit healer with Resurrection - heals the party and battle-rezzes the fallen.
buffer prophetProphet-kit buffer - keeps the whole party buffed.
singerSwordsinger - melee plus party songs.
dancerBladedancer - dual-wield melee plus party dances.
dd dpsA random damage role - use it for a varied comp.
Rez on the way Every recruit carries Scrolls of Resurrection as a fallback, and a healer or buffer battle-rezzes with its own skill. If you call while you're dead, the recruit runs up, joins itself, and rezzes you on arrival - you don't have to be alive to invite it.

Ask for an exact class or level

By class name

Name the occupation

Any 2nd-class+ occupation is recognised by name - lfm 1 Shillien Elder, lfm gladiator + hawkeye, lfm 1 Dark Avenger. Base/1st-class words fall through to a level-appropriate generic role.

Common shorthand works too and lands the exact class - se → Shillien Elder, wc → Warcryer, ee → Elven Elder, bp → Bishop, ol → Overlord, sws / bd → Sword Singer / Bladedancer.

By level

Set the level

Add lvl N and members spawn at that level instead of matching you - lfm 1 buffer lvl 57. Leave it off and they arrive at your exact level.

Typos & unclear calls A single misspelling still lands - lfm warcyer recruits a Warcryer. If a class word is too garbled to read, a nearby player whispers to ask which class you meant instead of guessing - and on a mixed shout the classes it could read are still recruited, so only the unclear one is queried.
Brain on vs. brain off With the LLM brain running you can call out in plain language - need a box + someone to tank cruma - and it's classified into roles. With the brain off, a keyword parse of the shout handles it. Both work; the keyword path needs no AI.

02 Party Commands

Once they've joined, drive the party from whisper or party chat. A command typed in party chat hits every member at once; free-form chatter gets a natural reply from just one member. All of these work with the brain off (deterministic keyword parsing).

SayWhat it does
assistDefault mode - every member focus-fires your current target, firing skills and soulshots through it.
attack freelyFlips a member to hunt nearby mobs on its own; it leashes back if it strays.
followStops what it's doing and follows you.
hold stopStand down / stop attacking.
gatherRegroup on you.
go to <place>tp <place>Members travel to a named gatekeeper spot and wait there for you - the party regroups at that destination.
statusMembers report in.
brbExtends the grace window so members don't despawn if you teleport away or briefly log off.
bye disbandDismiss the party - members despawn.

Camp & pull - park a self-running kill camp

Plant a fixed camp and let the party farm a spot while you step back (or jump in yourself).

SayWhat it does
camp herePlants a camp at your position. The party stops following you, rests between fights, and kills only what's brought to it.
<name> pull<name> pull 3Makes that member the puller - it fetches mobs back to camp (optionally a set number).
stop pullingKeeps the camp but the puller goes passive.
break campEnds the camp. Any follow / assist / go to X / stop ends it too.

03 Raid Orders

Against a raid boss, the party holds instead of auto-attacking, so your DPS can't rip the boss off the tank at the pull. You call the opening.

OrderWhat it does
tank attacktank pull · tank go · tank engage · pull it · initiateThe tank engages first; the rest of the party is released to assist the moment the tank has the boss's threat.
all attackeveryone attack · all in · open fire · burn itEveryone engages the raid immediately, skipping the tank-initiate.
hold firehold dps · wait for tank · fall back · back offRe-arm the hold mid-fight. Once released, the party can freely swap between the boss and its adds.
Good to know The hold re-arms automatically when a raid fight ends. Normal (non-raid) mobs are unaffected - everyone assists immediately as usual. Bring at least one Elder / Shillien Elder for the Recharge mana battery (Bishops don't have Recharge), or a long fight ends in a mass-OOM wipe.

04 Support & Buffs

On-demand orders for your healers, buffers and songsters - whisper or party chat, brain off. Members already arrive pre-buffed with their full archetype kit, and the buffer maintains it; these let you top up or redirect on the fly.

SayWhat it does
buff me rebuffRecasts the full archetype kit on you, one buff per tick.
buff allbuff the partyFully buffs every party member.
buff <name>Fully buffs one named member (e.g. the tank).
<healer> buff <target>Address a specific support by name to make only that one buff that target.
heal meHeals you once, even at full HP.
resRaises a fallen member (real players first, then dead bots - corpses persist ~60s for battle-res).
songs danceOut of combat, runs the Swordsinger/Bladedancer song & dance rotation once (it's fight-time only otherwise, to save MP).
Class-aware & coordinated Buffers no longer waste physical buffs on casters (or magic buffs on fighters), and buff themselves first so the rest cast faster. Multiple healers spread their casts instead of triple-healing the tank; a critically low target (<50%) still gets stacked emergency heals.

05 Support Buddies

A buddy is a personal support phantom you party as your own permanent buffer/healer - so a solo class can still tackle group content. Unlike a recruited party, a buddy binds to you instead of hunting, and you can run several at once.

The three roles

BUDDY_ELDER

Elven Elder

Mage buffs, heals and Recharge.

BUDDY_PROPHET

Prophet

The fighter buff kit.

BUDDY_WARCRYER

Warcryer

The Orc buff kit.

All three carry a Heal, so any buddy can top you up. Place them at level 40+ for a real 2nd-class kit. Party a Prophet + Elder + Warcryer together for full coverage.

Partying one up

  1. Find a buddy where it idles (they spawn/despawn by your proximity) and whisper it.
  2. Send it a party invite - it auto-accepts and binds as your buddy.
  3. It now keeps you (and itself) buffed, heals you below ~50%, follows you, and watches its own MP.

Driving it

partyfollowstay<place>brbbuffstatusyesnodisband

Whisper or party chat both work. A buddy teleports to a named gatekeeper destination on request (confirm-first: an explicit order goes immediately, a suggestion waits for your yes), warns you when it's low on MP, and sits to recover when it's safe. With the brain on it also chats - even abbreviations like roa → Ruins of Agony are understood.

06 The Control Panel

One visual, browser-based panel for the whole server - no build step, no dependencies. Open tools/l2admin/index.html in a browser, point it once at your game folder, and every tab reads from it: rates & config, phantom playstyles, bot clans, and the population map. (The old standalone tools/fpc-editor now lives here as the Population tab.)

What it edits

Tab

Rates & config

Edit the server .ini settings - XP/SP/drop rates and more - from the browser. Save rewrites only the values you changed and leaves your comments and layout intact.

Tab

Bot clans & alliances

Create synthetic clans phantoms wear in-game - name, level, crest - and group them into alliances. Make a crest from any image right in the browser (it writes the client's DDS textures), and set how often bots wear one.

Population · Mode 1

NPC fake players

The town/hunting NPC populations - procedural identities and functional private shops. Draw their zones and walking routes on the map, edit profiles and assignments in-tool.

Population · Mode 2

Phantoms

The auto-hunting field phantoms and support buddies (set a buddy's role from the dropdown). Includes a Friends panel: add a friend by name/class and it spawns an always-online, befriended phantom with a stable persona.

Panel

Raid bosses

A config editor for the global raid multipliers in config/NPC.ini - P.Atk, M.Atk, P.Def, M.Def, HP-regen, MP-regen (percent; 100 = retail, lower = weaker). Scales all raids at once, live effect readout per row.

On the map

Zones, routes & art

Draw / reverse / clear patrol routes and zone polygons, load the world map or region images as a backdrop, and do a quick 2-click map calibration so game coordinates line up.

Bot clans & alliances

Phantoms and town fake players can belong to synthetic clans - they show the clan name, crest, and a generated title in-game - and clans can be grouped into alliances with their own ally crest. Build it all in the Bot Clans tab: add clans, make crests from any PNG/JPG/BMP with no external converter, pick alliance members, and set the two membership-chance dials (how often town fake players and recruited phantoms wear a clan). Like the clans themselves, these are read at boot, so restart the server to apply.

Back up & share

Both the populations and the bot-clan setup have Export / Import. Export writes a JSON you can back up or share - tick individual populations to export just those, or export the lot. Import merges it in and never overwrites what you already have: anything whose name you already have is skipped, and it tells you how many it added and skipped.

Workflow

  1. Open your game folder - the panel reads and writes the datapack in game/data directly, and one pick serves every tab.
  2. Edit visually - rates, playstyles, bot clans, or the population map (populations, routes, zones, friends).
  3. Save, then apply in-game: NPC fake players with //reloadfakeplayers and phantom populations with //phantom reload - no restart needed.
Applies on restart Two things are read only at startup and need a server restart to take effect: the Raid bosses multipliers in NPC.ini (its own “Pick NPC.ini…” picker, since that config lives outside game/data) and the bot clans / alliances. Raid mode does not touch a boss's HP pool - edit <vitals hp> in data/stats/npcs for that.

07 Admin Commands

Type these in the game chat as a Game Master to tune and test the world live - no restart, no jar rebuild for most of them. Several also have a button panel under //admin → Server.

Rates

CommandWhat it does
//ratesOpens the Rates panel (XP/SP/adena/drop/spoil…). Changes apply live and are written back to Rates.ini immediately.
//setrate xp 5Set a single rate directly from chat.

Reloads

CommandWhat it does
//reloadThe reload panel - standard Mobius reloads plus a Living World section.
//reloadfakeplayersFPC World - despawns all managed bots, re-parses FakePlayerBehavior.xml, and redeploys fresh (~15s). The step after every editor save.
//reload fakeplayerchatFPC Chat - reloads the canned chat lines instantly, no bot disruption.
//phantom reloadRe-reads PhantomPopulations.xml live (populations + friend orders). Note: recruited parties/buddies don't respawn from this.

Phantoms

CommandWhat it does
//phantom spawn [count] [level] [classId]Spawn field phantoms manually. Optional classId pins the exact class instead of a random roll (e.g. 21 = Sword Singer, 100 = Sword Muse), handy for testing one class.
//phantom clearDespawn all phantoms.
//phantom countShow the active phantom count.
//phantom debug [on|off]Toggle the raid combat trace (boss aggro / member HP-MP-action / taunt / heal / res / death to the console). Raid-only, silent during farming.

Routes & testing

CommandWhat it does
//record_route <name>Start recording bot waypoints as you walk (~150-unit intervals).
//stop_routeStop recording and save to data/routes/<name>.xml.
//list_routesList all saved named routes.
//fakechat <player> <fpcname> <message>Trigger a bot's response to a player - for testing the chat brain.

08 Seven Signs (Solo)

Seven Signs normally runs on a fixed weekly PvP calendar - you could only collect Seal Stones, trade them for Ancient Adena, and validate seals inside set windows that flip every Monday. Solo, there's no opponent and no reason to wait, so the calendar is switched off and you drive the cycle by hand.

The solo loop

Everything below happens whenever you want - no period timers.

StepWhat you do
1 · RegisterTalk to a Priest of Dawn or Priestess of Dusk and join a cabal. Pick the Seal of Avarice if you want the boss rooms (see below).
2 · CollectHunt in the Catacombs / Necropolis - the monsters there drop blue, green and red Seal Stones any time.
3 · ExchangeTurn Seal Stones in at the priest for Ancient Adena (red > green > blue), or contribute them to score your cabal.
4 · Close it outWhen you're ready, close the Seven Signs (below). Your cabal wins and the seal you chose is validated.
5 · Reap itValidated seals grant their effect and, with Avarice, open the Anakim / Lilith rooms and the Ancient-Adena dungeon.
6 · ResetStart a new cycle to wipe the board and go again - you'll re-register at the priest.

Two ways to drive it

In the world

Priest "Solo Control"

Every Priest of Dawn / Priestess of Dusk has a [ Solo Control ] link. It opens a panel showing the current state with two buttons: Close the Seven Signs now (validate your Seals) and Begin a new cycle. No GM needed.

As a GM

The //signs command

Same actions from chat: //signs status, //signs validate, //signs reset. Handy for quick testing.

CommandWhat it does
//signs statusReport the current period, the leading cabal, and who owns each Seal.
//signs validateClose the competition and validate Seals. Refused if you haven't contributed yet (no winner means no Seal).
//signs resetStart a fresh cycle - clears registrations and Seals so you can register again.
Pick Avarice for the bosses You capture the one Seal you chose at registration. The Anakim (Dawn) and Lilith (Dusk) rooms are gated on the Seal of Avarice, so choose it if that's your goal. These are level-80 epic raids - bring a well-geared recruited party.
Turning it off This is the SevenSignsNoSchedule option in Feature.ini (on by default). Set it off to restore the stock weekly calendar; the manual controls then go quiet.
